Functional Furniture from Sauder

Sometimes, when I don’t want to do the things I have to do (like paying bills, updating my budget or work work), I rearrange furniture. Yes, I have a problem.I believe this started when I was about 12 years old. In my teeny tiny bedroom I had a twin bed and a chest of drawers. There weren’t a lot of different ways I could arrange my room but you better believe every 4-5 months, my bed would be against a different wall.

Now that I have my own house, I don’t move furniture…as much. Every now and then I change up my dining room chair or move a rug here or there.

Until last week.

A few weeks ago I told you about this awesome piece of furniture I got from Sauder that was going to help me organize my office. Well, let’s just be real, that piece of furniture wasn’t the catalyst to help me organize my office. In fact, my office is probably even less organized now that it was before.

My new curtains!

It didn’t seem right to have this brand new piece of furniture in my messy office. So after cleaning and organizing the house like a mad woman for my daughter’s birthday party, it hit me. Why not move the library base and hutch to my kitchen? Not only would the dark wood look great with my dining room table and new curtains (yes, I finally got around to making them), it would also be functional.

It would give me a place to organize my cook books.

Allowed me to get some of the clutter off my kitchen counters.

Provided extra storage for some of my small kitchen appliances.

Filled a spot between the dining room and kitchen that was missing something.

While I loved the library hutch and base in my home office, the piece really works well in it’s new space. For me, functional furniture is a must. And who knew that it would look so great in my dining room/kitchen!

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Sauder. The opinions and text are all mine.
